Sleep Disorders

Obstructive sleep apnea, a disorder that affects over 20 million Americans, can lead to serious cardiovascular and neurological problems. However, when treated, apnea patients reduce the risk of these serious conditions and dramatically improve the quality of their lives.
1.Dyssomnias- Dyssomnia is a disruption of the body's natural resting and waking patterns.

2.Parasomnias-Parasomnias are conditions that interrupt sleep. They're caused by difficulties with arousal or sleep stage transitions. Sleepwalking, nightmares, bedwetting and restless legs syndrome are all common parasomnias.

3.Medical/psychiatric problems-Medical or psychological conditions, such as alcoholism, ulcers, asthma and anxiety disorders, can cause rest-related disturbances. In such cases, treating the underlying problem should improve a person's rest pattern.

4.Proposed disorders-proposed disorders are rest-related disturbances that are under investigation. They may or may not prove to be actual disorders.

4. Avoid Daytime Napping
5. Make Your Bedroom Quiet and Comfortable
6. Avoid Alcohol Within Two Hours of Bedtime
7. Avoid Smoking Within Two Hours of    Bedtime
8. Avoid Large Meals Within Two Hours of Bedtime
9. Avoid Exercise Within Two Hours of Bedtime
